Commissioning
Always refer to the generating
set user manual. There you will
find all the required information,
such as the correct procedure
for commissioning your
NEO Inverter generating set.
Fill the tank with 15W40 oil
(oil can offered as an option).
Important, the generating set
must be positioned on a flat surface.
After waiting a short while,
check the oil level using
the gauge.
Do not exceed the maximum
oil level on refilling.
Do not tilt the generating set
when refilling the oil tank.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded
fuel.
Do not store fuel for more
than one month.
Store the fuel in a clean
hydrocarbon can which has
been manufactured for
this purpose.
Check the suppressor is correctly connected.
Open the petrol tap.
Safety instructions
Each time before starting
your NEO Inverter generating
set, carefully read
the commissioning manual
to familiarise yourself with
the equipment’s operating
controls.
Do not use your portable
generating set in the presence
of children, uninformed people
or animals.
It is strongly advised to avoid
using your generating set after
consuming substances likely
to adversely affect your physical
abilities.
Do not exceed the maximum
oil level on refilling.
Make sure that you tightly
close the petrol tap before
transporting your SDMO®
NEO Inverter generating set.
It is important to operate
your NEO Inverter generating
set in the open air,
outside a building.
In the event of indoor use,
exhaust gases MUST be
directed outside, and ensure
that ventilation is sufficient
to avoid affecting people
within the building.
Regular maintenance
Before any intervention, disconnect spark plug
suppressor and check
oil level on the graduated
gauge.
Check air filter condition, clean or replace
where necessary.
Check the cleanliness
of the alternator ventilation
vents to ensure that adequate cooling is maintained.
Important, do not spray
the engine or alternator of your
NEO Inverter generating set with water.
Maintenance before winter storage: at the end of the season a number of points must be checked...
Carefully clean all exterior
parts of your generating set.
Do not spray the engine or alternator of your generating
set with water.
Grease all moving parts.
Run engine until petrol
runs out to avoid deposits.
Drain engine oil then refill
with new oil.
Unscrew spark plug.
Pour 3cm3 of oil into
the spark plug opening.
Turn over the engine 2 or 3 times via the starter
to distribute the oil.
Check condition of air filter
and replace where necessary.
Check cleanliness of
alternator ventilation vents
to ensure adequate cooling
is maintained.
